Interactive Objects
For several years, the core of my practice involved the creation of small machines and interactive electronic objects. These pieces explore two distinct dimensions of our relations with things. In one line of inquiry, I built instruments — generating new modes of perception and hybrid ways of understanding across humans and algorithms. In the other, I worked materially with a question: what gives an object presence? What lets us perceive an entity as an active participant in the world rather than a tool or mere thing?
