Radioarcana
Daily technomantic readings from a 21st century tarot deck.
The Radioarcana reworks the traditional tarot Major Arcana through a lens of technological advancement and ecological awareness: a deck for a world shared with many other living beings, and increasingly, with machines.
The reading
Access begins in person, at a dedicated reliquary. Touch your phone to it, and it draws your card for the day — an archetype especially present in your life at this moment, to reflect on or pay attention to. Save the page to your phone when you visit, and the deck stays with you: draw a card whenever you wish, with the reading turning over at midnight local time.
The cards
Figures like the Biometric Bloom, Neural Net, Orb-Weaver, and Machine Cycle populate the 22-card deck — an arcana for our contemporary sensory landscape, shared among people, other living beings, machines, and systems. Where the traditional Major Arcana mapped a human journey, the Radioarcana maps a more polyphonous one. The deck's imagery was developed in collaboration with the Gemini and Midjourney AI models, guided toward the painting style of Lithuanian artist and composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis.
History
The first version of the Radioarcana included an Instagram filter, drawing a card of the day directly in-app, until Meta discontinued the format in January 2025. The Radioarcana is now part of the reference knowledge and divination techniques used by the PHARMAKON oracles.
